Meeting of Cultures Centre

The Meeting of Cultures Centre is a base for NGOs, a studio cinema, as well as circles involved in visual arts, theatre and music. The institution is to serve as a culture-generating space, as well as a place for spending free time in cafés, reading rooms or on the glass roof covered with plants and trees, where green projects will be implemented.

In the Meeting of Cultures Centre in Lublin, innovative EGLAS glass has been used in the skylight. It has been an area of 200 m2 with the structure of SGG Securit Planilux 10mm / 16mm stainless steel + argon, silicon / Stadip Securit 66.4 EGLAS ULTRA N II.

EGLAS glass – when energised, the low-emission metal oxide coating covering the glass surface converts electricity into heat. EGLAS is an integrated and aesthetic heating solution which increases the attractiveness of designed interiors and thermal comfort inside the buildings, which ensures cleanliness and transparency regardless of the weather conditions. Depending on the position of the heating pane in the multiple-glazed panel, EGLAS can also perform the function of melting snow on roof glazing.
