Active glass applications

EGLAS active glass binded with anti-solar COOL-LITE SKN 165 II glass was mounted on the 300 m² courtyard roof, providing a beautiful view in winter, and thermal comfort in summer. This solution enables the courtyard to be used as an exposition and conference space of the museum.

Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin is a place of dialog, an expression of dreams and aspirations of the inhabitants of the region. The 200 m² skylight was fitted with innovative EGLAS heating glass.

It took eight years to renovate the building, designed for Prudential insurance company in the 30’s of the twentieth century by Marcin Weinfeld and Stefan Bryła. The renovation process was supervised by a team of architects, comprising Michał Grzybek, Grażyna Grzybek, Marcin Stępniewski-Janowski, Przemysław Kramarz, Juan Zardini i Joanna Wichłacz, together with Holding Liwa as the investor. New, glass framework of the hotel was provided by the Saint – Gobain company.
